From Bielsa’s press conference - Hernandez and Shackleton both available for the weekend
Bielsa on signing a new striker: "We need one striker as soon as possible. If we find the ideal player, good. If we don’t find the ideal player then we will find a solution
Also said that he wants something similar to Bamford. Asked about Southampton’s Che Adams: “I don’t like to make reference to hypothetical options or options we don’t know will come.”
Bielsa on Nketiah: "I don’t know the reason for Arsenal to decide that Eddie doesn’t continue with us but if the reason is that he didn’t play enough, nobody can guarantee to one player the quantity of minutes he’s going to have.
"We never said (that Nketiah would be guaranteed minutes) and we would never say this. Nketiah was a brilliant option for us and now we’re looking for one which needs to be very good - the same or better than Nketiah.
A long explanation on the Nketiah situation, which suggests that Bielsa feels the need to have his say on this. Saying now that he won’t sign certain players to satisfy public opinion. Wants to sign what he needs.
