Placid I thought we were getting hammered until about 30 minutes. We then had 10 where we could have taken the lead with some good interchanges and breaks between Rutter, Poveda, Sinisterra and Greenwood.
Then the stream went down. Sort of got bits of it back for the second half and saw that scum had swapped their second team for their third. Ayling, Strujik, Bamford, Van den Huevel and James were woeful. I didn't at any time realise Shackleton was playing.
Joseph looked sharp, was disappointed by Gyabi - thought he'd have had more of an influence against a scum second string. Then I noticed they played Varane, Mount, Wan-bissaka and Sancho - that's 200 mil straight off. How the fuck can we compete with that?
On that showing we're not coming back up in a hurry. The clearout must continue and its gonna be a long way back.

We are desperately short of a left back and have been since Allioski, and he was not the greatest as a defender. On that showing we are also short of a centre forward, a class keeper, a centre half, and back up right back, and at least two midfielders. And depending who we have left a couple of wick wingers. But of course we've left it too late and all the decent ones have already been snapped up.
