I take your point. However, I would submit that Archie is one and clearly the best of many young, talented players. He has been exceptional since moving up to the first team. But I don't see his promotion as proof of a wider, strategic process. Not when he's used as a full-back and not in his best position. There are enough examples of youth team players being loaned out or sold, even a left-back who seems to be doing very well in his new team; Ipswich I believe. It's a feeling I have had for a while now, ever since the wheels started wobbling and the pillocks fired Marcelo. I like DF and am confident he's looking at this. Marcelo would have for sure.
