Placid I remember HJ in our first season up, saying that Orta was seen as a joke in PL recruitment circles. The more of his decisions we see the more it is apparent that there is no joined up thinking. HJ and his relative who was at Everton have been proven correct.
It also appears to me that the Orta's rough edges are happening more frequently now Bielsa isn't there to reign him in. There is too much of a focus on signing players who can increase in value compared with some hard nosed football signings who are as sure as possible to deliver from day 1.
