Why do players who oppose managers have to down tools. I don't see why proud committed players have to down tools, especially players who probably get a wage cut on relegation.

Who knows, but they do. They certainly gave up on Bielsa. You could see it in their body language. Non of them wanted to go against him personally I reckon but you get the feeling the "SLT" within the squad were moaning to Orta and Kineear. And then JM comes in and adds Rodrigo into that kabaal.

To me it looks like they were mentally fragile. Villa away 3 quick goals conceded in a good performance, fought back to 3-3. Liverpool was tough but it was the late collapse that made it horrific. Man Utd they showed fight. Spurs, he was already gone.

As a player, you would put up with such an intensely punishing training regime under Bielsa if you were winning. Start losing regularly and its ‘’fuck this for a game of soldiers’’. I guess its human nature.

Just watching the Japanese highlights of the Brighton v Liverpool game with my lad. Mitoma is absolutely superb, tore Liverpool to shreds. Discussing this with him and he asked about Tomiyasu at Arsenal and I explained the competition for that spot and why he was on the bench. This got me thinking that he would be great for Leeds at LB, I really like him.
