Jon I wouldn't say he was a role model, but just an interesting character. He's done the Joe Rogan, DJ Vlad and Bet-David podcasts, and comes across as an interesting bloke. Which is more & more what i'm finding with youtube, i'll watch something or someone and go down a bit of a rabbit hole. I think i'd previously posted a couple of his Rogan videos on here.
He's lived an eventful life, at an interesting time in US history, got tangled up in the iran-contra affair, served prison time & is now trying to a different path. He was once the embodiment of the life that a lot of rappers claim to have lived or at least glamourise, and he's come out the other end. He was illiterate at 18 and a multi millionaire by 21. He w also a tennis prodigy, who used to get trained by Arthur Ashe. He's intelligent, eloquent and self learned. You could also argue that he's been a contributing factor to a lot of people's misery, and that he'll never make up for that, and I don't know how he squares that when he's in bed at night.
Similar to George Jung/Carlos Lehder/Norman's Cay or Mr. Nice, just interesting true crime really.
