What Book Are You Reading Now?

Not reading any of the four books stacked up by the bed. Just reading about Ukraine and the Orcs and thinking up nuts ideas how to hurt the dark Lord Sauron. Is it possible to get people in countries all over the democratic world to mobilize and blockade the Russian embassy in their country? Would it be possible to get the governments in said democratic countries to plead impotence in the face of legal protest and starve the fuckers of food and water? Anybody got any good political and/or activist contacts??

Reggie_Perrin Loved that book. Deep and dark and sad, but still somehow light and gentle. Hard to explain, a rough read, but I found it very worthwhile.

Currently on the 7th Slough House / Slow Horses books. Brilliant books for tempo, dialogue and characters.

Refusing to get Apple TV to watch the first season, but it's getting good reviews from people I know who like the books.

Riding out Simon Parker. A bloke who cycled right round Britain during lock down.
should have been great but I didn’t like the writer. I liked his approach but some of it was a bit too judgemental for me. He seemed private school to me. Never a good thing.
there is a similar book called one man & his bike which is excellent.

On this again for about the 5th time. Relentless high jinks on hallucinogenics have never sounded so compelling and at times hilarious.

I do most of my reading in the bath so it's fucked. Books are for reading though aren't they?

Windswept and Interesting by Billy Connolly. I'm going to cry like a baby when this wonderful person passes. Holy fuck but he makes me laugh.

very easy reading & goes by nicely. He comes across as ok. I was wondering he did ok for himself considering he was in not the best punk band.

would it have happened if Sid vicious dream hadn’t come true to be in the ground? Still white wedding & eyes without a face are ace songs ?
