Young_Marxist_at_Tescos Anchor Typical Peace structure / format, but I’m struggling with the characters
Under-the-ground Hayley Mills a memoir. Just picked from the library. She led a life. Interesting reading about early Hollywood in the 50’s & 60,s
otis Anchor long time since I read that but remember it being very good. I have finally got around to dead mans trousers. Been putting it off for ages. Last one I have yet to read.
otis otis I finished it. I ended up leaving it half read for a while. It must be an age thing but not really enjoyed it enough like I used to. The spud bit (the dialect) never really appealed to me in all the stuff I have read, but that's my opinion. Sick boy true to form but overall the Begbie bit was like a coming of age sort of thing. The best stuff is the juice stories. Ah well.
Under-the-ground CBIT he is great isn’t he. He is one of us. I bought a copy of last exit to Brooklyn & he wrote the introduction. Absolute class
CBIT Under-the-ground The one (only!!) time in my life i was struck for words was when Andy Robinson (New Orders manager) introduced him to me at festival No.6
Reggie_Perrin Henry Cole autobiography. Never knew he was a smack head. Like his shed and fix up tv shows.
Under-the-ground Hangover Square. Patrick Hamilton. Very good. Set in Earls Court & Brighton just before the 2nd world war breaks. Finished it in 2 sittings very claustrophobic, depressing & very British with shades of Orwell, Greene . Decent book
oneallanclarke Under-the-ground But funny at times, too, in a very bleak way, though the humour has completely gone by the end.
