For no other reason than I've never heard it, got this on.

I've seen it championed down the years as a great live album. Has a great small club feel. Recorded in January 63, he'd be dead less than two years later. What a voice, makes you wonder what he could have achieved.

Strange LP, came in a white sleeve with a bit of paper between the sleeve and the cellophane. This sounds a bit more beefed up than I remember. I remain a fan.

Veedon Fleece. LP's 46 years old. No scratches. Gets called his 'forgotten masterpiece'. Brilliant album.

Travis_Bickle is never even heard it until a couple of years ago that Wimbledon lad, Mark, on Twitter mentioned it. Pushes Street Choir in my faves of his now.

Mercury Rev did the whole album. I never listened to their version but the title lodged in my mind. I played this last night after half killing myself putting carpet down on the stairs to the attic (never again). She had a beautiful voice. Great late night fare when you’re broken physically and mentally and in a hot bath wishing you had some ale in the house.
