I was 100% convinced there was a song on Odelay that sampled that line from Dylan's 'Tom thumbs blues' - "I'm going back to New York City I do believe I've had enough" but google says I've got mixed up. I'm getting confused in my old age

The others are morning phase & mutations. Not sure if it’s meant to be a trilogy but it feels like it. Morning phase is phenomenal

Been listening to the Doors - Live at Isle of Wight from 1970. Man, they were good live. I never use the awesome and I'm not going to start here but it is fucking brilliant.

I notice a bass player on the sleeve image. I thought they used the keys live for bass and a bass player in the studio.

Must be the other way round.

Anchor Yeah I thought they only had Ray playing bass on the keyboard live too. Just watched a clip on Youtube of that gig and can only see the guitarist who looks like my old science teacher - no bass player.

My favourite song on there is 'When the Music's Over'. You can get on it. It's hard to walk normally when listening to it.

Funny to think that Ray Manzarek was a fan of the Bunnymen.

YoungParisian_inExile Playing Vancouver in Sept. I’m assuming you’re back there for good or at least the immediate future.
I think the new single is terrific, I doubt it will be topped for me this year. Fits in perfectly with this album. I’m hoping there’s a new one prior to the tour in a similar vein.

I recorded this on video at the time and still have the tape, plus about 6 others that I recorded all manner of stuff on between 1983 and 1992.

I remember recording a Disney cartoon about a college (American) football game. Texidermy Tech vs Anthroplogy A & M. Off my bonnet at the time. Not sure how I had the wherewithal to press play and record, but the it was committed to tape for posterity.

I'm not trying to be smart or anything; I love Joy Division and New Order, but when I check my record collection, I have more ACR records than either of them. I saw them 'recently' at a festival in a park in London, where they were stuck on in a tent mid-afternoon and they were fucking awesome. Donald the drummer is top, top grade. They all were to be fair. They came to Leamington a few years ago in a tiny venue and finished off with Si Firmi O Grido. They all jumped into the audience with various instruments and carried on for another 15 mins or so.

WIO Big New Order fan, not arsed about Joy Division or 90% of the Factory Records catalogue to be honest but ACR live were something else.
Si Firmi O Grido, all swapping instruments, pure talent. Seen then do it in small clubs, The G-Mex and the big tent in Finsbury Park.

Behind The Charlatans, A Certain Ratio are the band that I've watched the most. Not sure how any of that has happened, but hey. SFA after that probably.
