Last Springsteen album I bought was Magic. We were supposed to go see him, had tickets, something happened but I can’t remember what. 2007/08, or there about.

I know what you mean to some extent Cooley, I can be bothered with people less and less these days but there are still a few bands I’d make an effort for.
Last time I ‘saw’ Weller he played Irving Plaza. It’s always been a favourite venue of mine. Recently though they’ve started roping bits of it off and charging a bit more to stand where used to be just general admission. The balcony has become VIP. It was packed. I ended up sat down upstairs in a spot that it’s physically impossible to see the stage from, in fact, you’re facing the bar at the back at the venue. This bloke and two women came and sat next to me. They had a great old time. The woman sat next to me turned out to be blind. She had a ball and kept apologizing for jumping around. She was, she said, dancing. Go for it lady, says I. It wasn’t the greatest of gigs but it reminded me of just what music can do at times.
I’d be reluctant to go to Irving Plaza again mind. Ruined a great old venue to some degree.
Sprimgsteen. I’ve seen him at Giants Stadium. Got the cheapest seats furthest from the stage while my brother in law was saying he could get us down the front for free. He knows someone or did. I Am Kloot O might like to see up close but Bruce it’s the event, take in the humanity. It’s some sight, 60,000 or whatever they let in for a gig, people having, for the most part the time of their lives.
