Travis_Bickle You're doing that thing where you reframe the "discussion" beyond anything I've said. you are trying to draw me into defending the government in a more general sense and that was not what I was saying.
I commented on the specifics about a manufacturing company being offered tax breaks to do one fucking task. I did not defend the government in totality. My original point stands. Why would the givernment not offer a tax break in the context of the not for profit development of a ventilator by a manufacturing company with design and production expertise at that time in a pandemic?
You can add on al lthe "Yeah but the nurses got 1%" stuff until you're blue in the face. That's notthing to do with any point I made or tried to make.
So to go back to what I did say... I don't see this as the watergate moment people are saying it is.
As for that specific link... Man involved in designing something not happy that an alternative is being talked about and not his own brain child. As it worked out neither of these projects came about anyway, as far as I know.
