This is the father in law. Very much a lifelong, patrician, one nation Tory from the old school. Voted remain, despairs of Brexit, and detests Johnson and the ‘bunch of clowns’ (his words) in his government. I’d be amazed if he voted Conservative at the last election, and whilst Labour is a step too far I think he’d be happy voting Lib Dem. And it seems he’s not alone.
Whether there’s enough like him and Grieve to fuck the tories over I don’t know but the Lib Dems would be daft not to go after them.
The wife still can’t get her head around him slagging off the Tories all the time; like Hartlepool going Conservative, the world’s turning upside down.
