My favourite contemporary Krautrockers, Follakzoid, are back next month. They’re put out a taster for their new album
Even more of a blend of Kraut with minimal techno than on their previous one, called I, which is probably my most-loved album of the last 10 years.
Anyhow, looks like they’re down to just their main person, Domingae, after starting as a trio and moving to a duo. Interesting individual is Domingae: transgender and pretty remarkable looking with it. The other two were more down to earth. By coincidence they were playing at the Brudenell while I was back on hol 5 years ago. Had a chat with them while they were loading their van after the gig and they were intrigued that Bielsa, who they knew and loved due to his stint with Chile, where they’re from had taken over with Leeds.
