Just finished this. Never smiled as much.
Fascinating to see the songs start from relatively nothing. So many good scenes - McCartney’s eyes when Billy Preston starts playing, the whoop he makes when he see the coppers on the rooftop, Yoko and Linda chatting as Let It Be is born, Lennon’s proto Jealous Guy, Mal Evans with best seat in the house, Klein in the (W)ings, Ringo farting, coppers in reception being given the run-around, the jovial, gentlemanly Sergeant arriving and being pointed to the lift, Glyn John’s clothes and sunglasses…
How skinny was Lennon? How lovely was Ringo? Gentle George, and Macca as the leader (a role he didn’t want but needed to do).
Essential viewing of a tight as fuck band - in both senses.
