It's not for me to say what you like. I'm stuck in my wide, cool groove. But I know I've fucking missed some obvious stuff.

Serious question: when did the Stones last release a really good album - with songs we’ve heard? Must be fucking ages. 50 years? I know many would say so what? Still, taking the piss a bit, innit?

When did the Beatles last release a really good album? I'm not really talking about right up to date, I'm talking their music, in general. I haven't really liked anything by the Stones since the mid 80s, probably, but I would still listen to their back catalogue until the cows came home, whilst I possess no records by the Beatles and would not be concerned if I never heard anything by them again. As I said, that's just me. Didn't really like anything by Bowie after Heroes, either, but still think his back catalogue, late 60s/early 70s stands up to anything that has come out recently.
