When pricing a race you are looking at the race as a whole and ascribing individual prices to horses that are part of the whole. I was overall happy with the prices generated for yesterday's race. They emphatically identified that the front two in the market were overrated (Dogon and Atlantic Storm) and therefore half of the field represented good betting value, unfortunately my analysis probably overestimated a little the chance of Jamacho winning this race, though he does have the tactical speed to win races this summer.
I said in my first post that I have been laying horses rather than backing them, however because it would have felt wrong yesterday to profit if Jamacho didn't win and some of you backed Jamacho, I didn't lay the front two in the betting and I backed Jamacho. So the tweak to the thread going forward will be to highlight the value bet and also any horses I will be laying.
I will continue to point out the likelihood of the highlighted horses winning/losing so everyone is aware that none of them are considered nailed on.
