Regarding the first CD's released (there was a batch of 50 of them released by CBS/Sony - Sony being the company who together with Philips that launched the CD player), anyway, you'd probably say something like Dire Straits 'Brothers In Arms', but that was in 1985.

Anyway, there were three UK artists who were released - Floyd, Jeff Beck and The fucking Nolans!
