Under-the-ground The guardian are at it again Tommy Robinsons Christmas carol event. I’ve learned the world is going mad Never mind just off back home on the bike. Seems ok then
Jon CharlieG I thought that too until I went out after work with some coworkers one evening. Shot and a (bottle of) beer every round until gone 1am mid week. Only one of us didn’t make it to work the next day.
Djpekingman Jon I went out one night with the footy team I played for after much badgering. They were ratted after 3 or 4 shit US beers, so much so, a so called marine in the team decided to fight a pizza delivery fella. He got battered. How I laughed.
Jon Djpekingman I always thought it was a bit weird how I’d seen so much more alcohol related violence back home in an average weekend in town than I had in almost ten years of regular drinking in Queens, The Bronx and on the Lower Eastside of New York.
Djpekingman Jon This was an American team. In America. The violence was pathetic compared to town mid 80s. Problem in the US is you don’t know who’s carrying so a scuffle can soon escalate into a full blown Somme reenactment. Fortunately I never saw shooticuffs, but even living on the outskirts of DC the rattle of gunfire was a common sleep breaker at night. I’m talking 90ish. Mayor Marion Barry time.
Travis_Bickle The Americans from Ohio we shared a hotel with in Tulum were definite medal contenders in the Alcohol Olympics. And great company. Loud? Yep. Opinionated? At times. But they were polite, treated the staff really well and were great company.
