Apparently the young Slash (Saul at the time) didn't like him because he was the first bloke his mam dated after splitting up with his dad and he had a moody "he's not my dad" thing about it. Imagine that. Your mam's dating Bowie and you're like "he can fuck off, he's not my dad, can't tell me what to do". It's just funny.
