David Harvey was their manager in 1985 as well as managing the Three Cups pub in Stamford Bridge near York. I played football for the Three Cups Sunday side and Harvey turned out for us a few times as a centre half, he was decent. He also had Ray Hankin and Steve Balcombe playing for Whitby. Steve also worked in the pub and turned out for the pub team. It won’t be a surprise, that he was head and shoulders above everyone else playing.

They're In the Premier Division of the Northern Premier, the seventh tier.
The same as such clubs as Bamber Bridge, Marine and both Warrington Town and Rylands.
Scarborough did indeed get promotion last year beating Warrington Town in front of around 2000 in the play off.
South Shields were also getting similar crowds and also taking a few hundred away.
Oh and FC United of Manchester are still in the division after poaching Bamber Bridge manager and a man very impressed with himself Neil Reynolds.
If you get the chance to travel away, Bamber Bridge, Marine, Stalybridge Celtic and Warrington Town have good bars...
And at Warrington you get to watch the ships go by on the ship canal.
I can't tell you much about Whitby Town other than what's been said though I have a vague recollection of Leeds beating them 9 0 around 1985.

Both the games against FCUoM are on a Tuesday night. It's not just the Guiseley and FC fans that will be pencilling that in their diaries.
