Day 100 without a drink. If someone had told me I'd be able to do that about 4 years ago I'd have never believed them and was worried that I had a problem. Life is a lot easier for me when I'm not drinking and thinking about whether 1 or 2 will turn into 8 or more again. Had some challenging shit to deal with recently, including a health scare for the mrs and a series of worrying scans (which is still ongoing) but coped a lot better than I would have done if I'd have been binge drinking every weekend and feeling dreadful every Monday and Tuesday.

Had a great walk with my son this morning before I started work. Being out in the fresh air, particularly at springtime, feels brilliant with a clear head and well rested body.

Not had a drink for a few days due to health and I now fancy one.

Still not drank since New Year's Eve.

I don't know how I feel, as it feels normal now. But as I watch my wife have a drink and how she feels the next day, I've had to learn to say nothing.

I've got an internal flight to Newquay coming up, and I don't like being on planes, so I'm wondering if I can not have a drink then?

Anchor Not since she had Covid in Oct. It knocked her on her arse and she's not been right since. Makes it easier I guess. She was never a big drinker though. Glass or two of wine or the odd G & T. Rarely got larruped.

I used to crease her "artisan" gin after a load of ale then top it up the next day with Gordons. The next time she'd have one I'd say something about all gin tasting the same and she'd say that hers was far better than Gordon's ( cue me laughing to myself thinking - you're actually drinking Gordons). No wonder she subconsciously hates me 😆

I'd definitely drink less if my wife wasn't a social butterfly and liked being half drunk almost constantly. She is already badgering me to go to the pub and I was clinically dead on Monday.

Anchor Its the main reason I drink, makes the evenings go quicker. Sad really.

Bar St Patrick's day which is an allowed cheat day, not a drop since new year's eve. Aiming for my birthday in July.
