fuzzy Almost didn't get released as a single until McGee was like - How much do Steeley Dan want? Fuck it, we'll pay em. That's some live footage 😎 ❤️ Would love to blast that out next to the tory party conference building on a big sound system
Odd_Job Great choice FD. Any SFA LP is essential is far as I’m concerned. As well as the LPs and everyone’s favourites mentioned in the thread, honourable mention must go to both the Ice Hockey Hair EP and its title track, it’s a beauty tune.
90Piesanhour I know a few of their songs, and quite like them. Golden Retriever is a goody, so I'll give this a go once I've finished my grading.
Travis_Bickle Missed the SFA boat. Cool as fuck image-wise. Just never got around to playing their stuff. I think I heard some and was disappointed that it didn't sound as good as it should. May well have dismissed too easily. Will give this a proper listen.
Djpekingman Travis_Bickle I've been the same with them. Have various singles and an album by them but found them mostly just really annoying. And not as good as I was expecting after the media hype in the music press. I'll make a determined effort to give this a go.
Raposa Listened to this last night and found it all a bit bland if I’m being honest. Never really got the hype anyway but they obviously have something given their rep and also their popularity on here. For me the music didn’t live up to the write up by Fuzzy which in fairness is probably the best since this thread was created so top marks for that young man. 👍
Odd_Job On a related note, the recently released Das Koolies LP - DK.01, is a decent listen. Das Koolies are SFA minus Gruff Rhys, so their sound is a lot more electronic and less acoustic guitar based.
