To jump in... For me it means extremism of any kind. To oppose extremism of any kind. I may be unique on here in so much as I grew up in a country at war due to partition and illegal occupation, a country still partitioned. Daily killings, daily bombings, daily atrocities. It coloured my entire youth. But a peace was found. Not a perfect peace but peace nonetheless. The guns and bombs were put away.
It's a fragile peace and make no mistake, war again in Ireland is still a hair's breath away thanks to the recalcitrance of certain Unionists and Loyalists. Those that cling to a Crown that wants nothing to do with them. But the guns were put away and that took tremendous courage on all sides.
Israel is determined to, and has repeatedly stated such, that they will not stop until all of Gaza is levelled, the people displaced and they will continue their illegal militarized land grabs all over Palestine. That's Zionism. There can be no peace with Zionism.
If there's one thing I learned in Ireland, every bullet fired by the aggressor creates another volunteer.
