space As recently as February of this year, Netanyahu entertained the prospect of an independent Palestinian state. The frankly ridiculous condition that such a state would have no security or military power made his concession' laughable for most. But there would be a state.
He's also keen to normalise Israel's relationship with the wider Arab world. He prioritises that over his relationship with his Palestinian neighbours. Again, a ludicrous stance to take.
His proposals for justice reforms saw unprecedented civil disobedience, strikes and protests by Israelis. I could go on.
He's utterly flawed. And dangerous.
But for all of those flaws, he's never proposed or advocated the extermination not just of Palestine and Palestinians, but of Muslims the world over.
Hamas have the extermination of Jews, all Jews, every one of them, woven into their DNA. Their spiritual and political leaders revel in their loathing of Jews.
And yet, once again, the ire, the criticism, the scorn and the anger faces pretty much only one way here.
Talk of their desire for 'solutions'. Talk of them being recruiters for their own enemies. Of genocidal intent.
No matter the evidence, no matter the nuance, no matter the history, it seems it's always their own fault. Always their own fault.
