So basically given that this is really Jon's turn I was tempted to post an album I know he's really keen on and one that I love too as he's posted various tracks from it on here before.
However,I'll leave that until he's back with us (hopefully) and had a late change of mind and went for this one by The Dykeenies which for me is ace but sure to divide opinion on here.
For that I'm not too bothered as this thread has never been about who can post the most popular album for the OMJ massif.
Anyhow, does anyone remember Ian W who had the Guildford pub on the Headrow?
He posted under the name Leeds16Loyal on the old SC forum.
He was into his music in a big way and used to organise Indie nights ,holding them at various pubs in Leeds whereby he would play mainly Indie tunes and lets say some of the clientele were of a questionable nature to say the least given that they were mainly SC lads.
For all that, the nights were generally ace with some top tunes played and a good drink had by all.
Myself and Mrs Raposa went to just about them all and on one particular weekend the Indie night was held at the Bridge off Kirkstall Rd near the Armley turn off.
It was then that he played this particular tune, one I'd never heard before but what a snorter it is
On the back of that, I bought the album, couldn't stop playing it and even now still give it a whirl in the car.
As stated I'm not expecting an album from a somewhat obscure Scottish Indie Rock Band to be a major hit on here but that won't sway my opinion and I'd be surprised if there's not at least one track on there that you like.
Stitches and Clean Up Your Eyes are particularly ace.
Give it a whirl and let us know.
