Easter lunch out, in at 2.30, no starters, mains served at 3.30. Had words hushed words with the main bloke, he checked with the kitchen, it's coming up. Ten minutes later, still not arrived. Took him to one side had louder hushed words. They came soon after.
Big, poshish, Brexit, Daily Mail place but lovely with it.
Me and sis in law - leg of lamb, red wine gravy, absolutely bang on.
The lad - big old posh sausages and mash.
M.i.l - beef etc
Missus - Lamb and Rosemary pie, looked ace.
Different pud for everyone, don't normally have one but went berserk and had a small marmalade ice-cream, so nice plus coffee.
Main bloke, mid pudding, leaned in and whispered that they'd knocked all the drinks off the bill which I had no problem with. Always appreciated when a place makes up for mistakes. Got to drive home now and not fall asleep at the wheel.
