Thanks Chaps. York and Leeds for sure. Whitby would be nice but getting there without a car’s a bit dificult, I think. Staithes is a sound place but getting there’s a bit hard. Ilkley. Saltaire,? If she’s crossing the pennines I think Liverpool would be more her thing than Manchester, Beatles and all…

Jon I’ve always found Liverpool to be full of scousers, which has always put me off the place, but each to their own. 🤷

If she catches a train to Sheffield, she can then catch a train to Liverpool, and it runs through Hathersage, Edale & Manchester.
