Jon Where would you go, what would you do and see, decent eats, cheap to treats? Also H, text me, my phone stopped working, I've lost all my contact numbers.
Travis_Bickle Get a train from Leeds to Mytholmroyd or Hebden Bridge. Walk up to Stoodley Pike. There are some great paths around the upper valley if you're feeling fit. Peckett Well, Hardcastle, Heptonstall. Steep but worth it. Back down to the Vocation Brewery tap for a few pints. Last train back. Goa Express in the headphones.
Travis_Bickle Young_Marxist_at_Tescos Leeds Urban Bike Park is a good shout. Happy to show you the best bits of Elland Woods too......
Odd_Job York - see the sights, it’s small, flat, easy to get about on foot Whitby - fish and chips, picturesque Wakefield - Sculpture Park Leeds - see where her arl fella spent his formative years Liverpool or Manny
hendersonjones Staithes and have lunch in the Cod and Lobster Here it’s a laugh https://www.theforbiddencorner.co.uk/ Whitby and fish and chips York plenty to see and do Malham and Grassington Text sent
otis Leave Grassington if you are there for the sauce. 6.70 a pint in black horse. They film a show " all creatures great and small "then bang prices up for tourists. Edited to make sense
Jon Thanks Chaps. York and Leeds for sure. Whitby would be nice but getting there without a car's a bit dificult, I think. Staithes is a sound place but getting there's a bit hard. Ilkley. Saltaire,? If she's crossing the pennines I think Liverpool would be more her thing than Manchester, Beatles and all... Wrexham's big with Americans isn't it?
Misura Jon I’ve always found Liverpool to be full of scousers, which has always put me off the place, but each to their own. 🤷 If she catches a train to Sheffield, she can then catch a train to Liverpool, and it runs through Hathersage, Edale & Manchester.
hendersonjones Jon Saltaire hasn’t changed , David Hockneys art is constantly in residence , good train link to get here , whitby has a train station also , york is a piece of piss to get to
CBIT Jon Whitby would be nice but getting there without a car’s a bit dificult, I think Coastliner bus from bus station in town.
Placid Jon Saltaire is defo worth it. Easy to get train to. Massive fuck off mill with loads of interesting art there from Hockney and others sometime
Jon Djpekingman I looked at that, thought it would be prefect, sleeper train out of Euston but it's fully booked on the dates she's got off.
