Reggie_Perrin No didn't fuck her and there were no signals mate. She was just a very forthright, direct, middle-aged Mancunian. I used to go to her house for tea sometimes when I first moved to Manchester for a job and didn't know anyone.

There were four women in my office who talked like that all the time. Placid knows one of them. It was a funny time in my work history looking back.
