You want me to explain to them why one of the two viable options will transform their lives? Fuck all will change for the majority no matter who gets in.

Labour won’t do anything major to the fuck up that is Universal Credit.
They won’t do much to the travesty that is our disability benefits system ( the travesty that they created).
Sick pay will not increase to a liveable level.
Housing will not get any more affordable or plentiful.
Food prices won’t go down.
The rivers will still be shitty.
Boats will still arrive on beaches.
Shop and factory workers will still be living hand to mouth.
Law and Order will still be underfunded.
Our relationship with the EU will not change significantly.
The retirement age will still rise.
Environmental targets will still be abandoned.

I think Labour improved many things and can only see real negatives to the last 12 years. Saying that, I actually see how Margaret Thatcher changed things for the better, but dont agree with her methods of doing so.

Blairs government made my life better for a while as a married man with a young family. We were better off - then in 2010 we became poorer almost overnight culminating with me losing my job a year later as a direct consequence of Cameron’s government. And have got subsequently poorer and poorer - we both work on the public sector and have had nominal (small) pay rises in the last 14 years.

I just hope Starmer at least pumps some money into the NHS, public services and Education - I’d love to see him take the money from the rich to do this but i’m not holding my breath on either of those things happening. I will vote Labour as the greens/Lib dems have no chance here but would vote Green or Lib Dem to simply get rid of this awful government.

Yeah, several of the changes Labour brought in after 1997 made a real difference to my life and some of them (eg a national minimum wage) are helping my kids even today. The Tories opposed every one. I’ll be voting Labour to get the Conservatives out.

Agreed , if i had to choose i would vote Labour , when ever i have voted it’s always been Labour , daughter will be voting for the first time it will be Labour , she’s the future has completed University and graduates this July , she’s asked for my vote and so i will vote Labour on her behalf also
