When you use the old fashioned metric called 'the league table', rather than some of the esoteric guff that gets posted on here, you'll find that we are top. Top 'now' and further ahead with the addition of the 2 points that we've been deducted.
We don't think that we are better than we are, the table shows us how good we are. The table shows that after 33 games, we're averaging 2.18 points a game, which is a fantastic return. That's not luck, that's simply due to being better than 99% of the teams we play. Leeds may or may not be better in head to heads with us, i'm not overly fussed. But we'll soon find out, and i'm not losing any sleep over it.
Burnley won't catch us, and Sunderland certainly won't. We've got 13 games left & 39 points to play for. I reckon another 20 points gets us promoted on 90 points. That's an average of 1.54 points a game from here on in. As a guide, that's equivalent of us matching 15th place Preston's form over the previous number of games.
I'm happy to go up in 2nd place (which we will do), and leave the top spot to Leeds fans fragile egos, as you all seem desperate to claim some sort of moral victory this season, or want an additional trophy for aesthetics.
