Harvest 90 minutes was more than enough time for him to prove himself.

I can't help myself. I've created an XG based ranking system, it's pretty basic as I don't want attention to divert from the horses.

So after three games the rankings are

1 Sunderland
2 Leeds, M'boro, Norwich,

So at this early stage we are on the right track.

Plymouth are already adrift at the bottom

Just watching Luton vs QPR.. they are both shit.

Sunderland are posting XG which backs up their results. They have the feel of genuine contenders. Defensively they aren't giving much away. And on a less gloomy note, they have Poveda to return from injury.

Looking at the table now, which is daft I know. But generally you can see the teams who’ll be in the top 6 most the season. They have not lost.

Until they play each other. That should be the difference

As each week passes the data will get more robust. At the moment it will identify the weaker teams better than it identifies the best teams.

Placid I should have headed them. Data Col 1 is the teams average perf ranking.

Leeds have a score of 7/4 = 1.75.

They have posted the best figures v WBA so score 1 for that. They score 2 for the other 3 games. Sunderland out did us v Portsmouth, Millwall v Weds and Millwall v Hull. There is a normalisation adjustment so home and away performances can be compared.

The second column is the normalised XG For-against difference.

As more games are played the rankings will have more substance.
