Reflecting on season so far. I don't think there is any team that's going to trouble us too much. The odd one might try and hold us and might succeed but I think we are the best side by some way. Top by end of Nov and I think we stay there and pull ahead. The quicker, more positive passing in midfield has been the big difference. I don't see Ampadu and Gruev getting back in when fit unless it's down to injuries.

Millwall away will tell us a lot. It's the sort of test we struggled in last year. The physical games like Preston and Huddersfield away.

They have just kept Burnley to no chances worthy of the name, with a lively in your face display. It will be interesting to see if we cope better this season.

Watched a bit of WBA v Burnley, looking like another draw, both teams aren't great - and to think there was a right clamour for Corberan. It's a poor league and we're probably the best side thankfully.

Harvest WBA's transfer business is heavily restricted by the EFL who have to approve all expenditure. It's all to do with FFP. He is operating on a very tight budget. I'd take him next time we are looking for a manager.

Foxy_Dread Lost at home to Sheffield Wednesday, then lost away at Boro, then draw six on the trot, that's eight games without a win. Never mind finance, Farke would have been gone or killed by now. I think the calm persona/Bielsa disciple papers over the cracks. West Brom fans saying his football is tedious, that sounds very familiar.

Leeds went there and played as if they had a lot of respect for WBA. I've not seen Farke set up so cautiously for any other team.

They had to clear out shit loads of players and shop in the bargain bins.

I don't want to get into a Farke v Corberan thing and have to list all of Farke's short comings. I just wanted to state I'd still take Corberan the next time the job came up.

It would be interesting to hear AW's thoughts on him. I know it's not all sparkling football with Corberan but we are going to need pragmatism to get established in the PL. I'm half hearted about the PL but it's clearly where the club owners and fan base want to be.

white_dragon you couldn't get Bielsa back, too many people don't buy into his beliefs. They would want him back but to be different this time around. There would be grumblings from the start.
