Haha, out on the golf course in the dark.Jinny is barking at something for a few minutes, Turns out she has some bloke on top of a four foot hedge worrying for his safety, trying to shine a torch on her.

A sad night on the golf course, Jinny found a hare carcass, the poor beautiful thing. It was dark so not sure how it died.

I challenged a bloke leaving the course with a torch just as I was, turned out he'd been out looking for golf balls.

RIP Hare.

Had a great morning leggings hares. She runs her legs off but can't get near one.

She nearly bagged a hare today, the silly sod laid low in the grass too long, must have escaped by an inch or two.

Two things from this morning's walk.

I laid down in the middle of a field, getting out of the wind whilst I spoke to my daughter. Ten minutes in a vehicle enters the field. He'd come from the farm on the opposite hillside they'd seen me "collapse" and they were concerned. Then he nicely said I can't roam their fields anymore. Fuck sticks.

I negotiated the continuation of the walk, an hour later, a hare bounds up and stops 15 yards from Jinny. Jinny and the hare were motionless watching each other for 30 seconds, then Jin was off like a shot and the chase began.

Jinny is two today. We went up the tops first thing.

She touched her first hare, it's back leg flicked up whilst fleeing and hit under her chin as she was in pursuit. So close.

My 13 year old Plummer cross has got cancer. This is probably going to be her last Christmas.

Jinny disappeared today, it then dawned on me I'd last seen her with a ball we had found on the edge of an old mini quarry.

Luckily she was okay.

I'm up on the hills, she is after hares. She has come on a bundle. She is more independent, will go off on her own looking for them. What a great little dog.

If I sit down on a hedge, she comes and sits beside me.

There are some magnificent hares around here. Was face to face with one for about 20 seconds, about 25 yards apart. It only scarpered when Jinny appeared on the scene.

I love it up here, nothing beats this.
