Didn't realise they were meant to be singles. Shall I do my two goes to date again?

I really like this song. It's the most Edwyn vocal there is. It is a very cheery LP, probably one of the most stupidly joyous things I can do nowadays, is have a few beers, walk the dog in the dark and sing along to the LP.

Aladdin Sane and You Can't Hide Your Love For Ever are two LPs I have to play in entirety, I'm unable to dip into them.

Foxy_Dread I wouldn’t worry about the single or not thing. I might have got that wrong anyway and who really cares? Loads of good tunes never became singles.

Great choice. It's got that whimsical vulnerability so many great unheralded pop songs have. The voice isn't perfect by any means, but it's that imperfection that makes it perfect. I'd like to hear him sing it now, now that his voice has matured and is a much more powerful tool than it was in his youth (despite all his health issues).

As you say Jon, the original is also magnificent, but this version, white blue eyed soul boy and all is a great paean to the original.

A track I never really listened too until a conversation with another occupant of a shared house.
He pointed out how excellent it was and I stopped using fast forward.
It's a great track.

I have the 12inch of this somewherein the garage, very nice 👌. B side was just as good. Quite liked the instrumental Moscow as well

Not for me. Sounds like a lot of that low key noodling from then. Neither one thing or another and as much as I like Orange Juice his vocal on a fair few tracks was not for me. Feels forced.

However I'd not heard this and appreciate the back story and now I have that little extra in my musical knowledge bank. So thank you.

Harvest He’s the only pop star I’ve ever wanted to meet and I’m glad I did.
