A return to FA Cup action for me and my mate Danny. I’ll be honest the previous rounds had started to grind a bit being every two weeks. A 4 week break or so created an air of positive anticipation for this weekends little adventure.
Went to Laynes for a bit if breakie before hand and met my mate for the 10:16 train. The train was rammed. People sat on the floor in the end bits.

Got to Kings X then straight onto Northern Line to London Bridge. Can never get my head round London Bridge, its a rabbit warren.
Onto The Hastings train, slight detour via Orpington. Not a part of the world I know too well.
We got to Tonbridge and had a couple of pints with Marcello in a Neverspoons. Bit of a shame.. they’re just full of same wallers where ever you are.
Taxi up to game. Ground was packed and we got in just in time for the immaculately respected minutes silence and last post.
We were stood at front of the away stand and behind is where all the teen/20 something singing contingent. During the silence all I could hear was the unmistaken sniffing of people who had clearly been on the beaky. Proper funny. A sign o the times for sure.
Game was decent but couldnt see much, Harborough ran out 4-1 winners.
Facilities were decent, lots of odd buildings and stands. Bar had a grill on it and was rough and ready.
Had a few pints with Liam Bradys nephew who runs a bar on the high street. They were pissing themselves at us. Said in cockney drawl “What the fark are you northerners doing here, who invited oasis”
Nice guys although one looked like Roger Daltry my mate said he had Turkey Teeth. Didnt go down so well.
Taxi after game and reverse travel process through and abolustely heaving London.
The economy must be on the up, folk everywhere out enjoying themselves. All power to em.
A couple of pints round kings x with Sunderland fans. Was loads of em.
A kebab on train on way home. Again, another rammed train with football and ruggerbuggers. England played Allblacks apprently.
9:55 Skipton train to Kirkstall Forge, full of revellers on the way home. Great to be amongst all that life, vibrancy and happy people all day. Love it

This fine fella cut a dash puffing on his pipe in the smoking area. Missed a great face on pic of him. He stood out.

The man who played the last post bugle before kick off

Dan on left me on right, some random behind us, top bombing.
