Quite like a lot of Gene Clark’s stuff but I struggle with this album.
In fact I only ever play it in response to a Harvest post.
I’ll try again tomorrow.

Mega_Armageddon_Chickens I really rate GC, and think that he’s underrated and his story verges on the tragic. The album is certainly baroque (not 100% if that’s the correct term), and I wouldn’t criticise anyone for not liking it.

This was one of my possible choices. I love Gene Clark and love this album. This is probably my favourite song from it. His voice was beautiful. It had such a depth of emotion in it.

Never really got the recognition he deserved after leaving the Byrds.

Good arrows Misura. 10/10

This is a good book about his life. He trod that well worn uniquely talented / self destructive path that often ends in tragedy.

Taking up freebase in his 40s was an unorthodox move. You’re not gonna look like a spring chicken on those lifestyle choices.

I sometimes listen to Eight Miles High and am still blown away by how phenomenally good and ahead of it’s time it was.
