I thought those steps looked familiar - many a night lost in Cosmos. I don't remember the F club up there - Brannigans was the first F club venue I remember.

CBIT yeah it was called that for a while after it reopened after a fire. Wouldn’t know if they bothered with a refurb after the fire, it wasn’t what you would describe as the most celebrious of premises

otis any particular reason? It wouldn’t have been for jumping someone else’s taxi as they wouldn’t go down there for the longest time, would drop you on Chapeltown Road only

Odd_Job There was only one cab driver from Horsforth that would take us to Cosmos. Never had problems getting a cab out though. To be fair never saw much trouble up there.

Odd_Job none he was stood in the queue with a bird he had met in town, car pulled in and fired a few shots, one got him below kneecap. Fluke (obviously not for him). Around late 90s early 2000. He never put his name in paper.

To say he was fucked off was an understatement, not because of the leg ( loads of time off work) but the bird fucked off

otis We used to go regular late 90's. Couple of quickly sorted out issues inside. Saw more hassle outside and inside the Warehouse back then....

I was a Cosmos regular in late 80s and still a bit in the 90s. Used to love it. Always the chance of copping off with a nurse or teacher.
Got mugged once when we were speeding our tits off and thought it’d be fine to walk to Roundhay Road at 3am.
Doing a Cosmos/Twilight Zone double a few times made for an eclectic experience. Boxing Day 89, at a guess, def one of the days between Xmas and New Year: we’d been pilling over at Cosmos and then bought and dropped hugely strong tabs at the Twilight. It seemed to go on forever through the day.

The above makes Halifax sound like a rural idyll. Avoid the Briggs (ice cream barons) and the McDonaghs (hard family whose next generation where soft twats living off the name) and you were okay.

The Briggs and McDonaghs teamed up in the 80s. Got one of them nicked in a scrap. Threw a flurry of punches in self defense then backed off then stood my ground when in view of the coppers. Got swarmed but the copper in the car knew me from Northowram footy.

Foxy_Dread we got chinned in the coliseum as well, you ecky thump bastards, all town turned out that night, fighting all way back, leeds bastards smile 😃

otis it was a local custom, in the 70s and early 80s attacking out of towners. It must have made us seem a bit backwards.
