What a save at the end from Meslier after having nothing to do all game - fizzing into the top corner.

My mum, although from Northern Ireland originally, grew up in Nuneaton and moved to Yorkshire when she met my dad. Her sister lived in Coventry. My mum used to send my brother and me to live with her sister in the school holidays. We would literally get “sent to Coventry” for the summer. I liked it because I liked my Auntie. Got some great memories of the place.

That semi final against them in 87 felt heartbreaking though.

When I think of Coventry I think of that last game of the season, not the Wallace hatrick one, a bit later when little pockets of fans went toe to toe on the pitch after. Hand to hand combat in the penalty area and beyond. Me and my mate sat there laughing thinking how we’re gonna get fucked for this and nothing got reported, like it was a dream.

Harvest Used to be an annual trip - last game of the season at Cov. Our lot used to meet up with the Mavvies and Kippax. Talk about shitfaced. 90 minutes in the open stand bouncing up and down ’let’s go fucking mental’. Regular pitch invasions. Madness. It hurts my head even thinking about it these days.
