I like Kneecap. Not sure about the fake and would like to hear why one would think of them as fake. The doc/film seemed pretty genuine to me. Maybe I'm gullible.
Let's get one thing clear. Terrorism is wrong when it kills innocent civilians. Against forces of oppression, whether human or property then I don't have an issue with it when all other channels have failed.
Kneecap's shout out to Hamas and Hezbollah should be seen for what it is, ie a pop group looking for publicity for one of the worst (and continuing) massacres of innocents since FYR, Rwanda and Cambodia. Nobody said anything about those at the time and the killing continued unabated until there was no one left to kill and bigger forces finally got involved. The same is happening in Israel - no one is standing up to the Israelis (except maybe Sanchez who told them to stick their bullets) and their continuing crimes against humanity in the Levante. Kneecap's declaration of support (was it really that?) for Hamas and Hezbollah should be seen for what it seems to be to me - a crude attempt to engender publicity about the massacre, because the rest of the world doesn't seem to give a fuck and is allowing Netanyahu to act with impunity. It was the same with the IRA a few years ago - very few agreed with their methods but without that sacrifice it is unlikely anything would have changed (at least not when it did). It forced the belligerent parties to the table, and whatever you say about Major, McGuinness and Adams they came across as a group who wanted peace and to make it work. While Hamas and Hezbollah seem to want peace and have undertaken several rounds of talks and reached agreements, the Israelis have been quite happy to rip up them up and continue killing innocents, with the tacit support of the rest of the world (and I include the various Arab nations in this - no one gets out of this with any credit).
The problem I have is that the Israeli backing press and politicians have made this issue about Kneecap and have blithely ignored the reasons for Kneecap's declaration. Fuck Kneecap, fuck Hamas, fuck Hezbollah, but most of all fuck the Israeli government and the ultra nationalist zionists who are pushing this agenda of oppression. Oh, and fuck the rest of the world who have the power but not the will to stop this.
