Anchor Interesting article. https://www.theguardian.com/music/2024/nov/27/i-set-up-my-own-indie-label-from-brexits-brutality-to-the-joy-of-diy-music-heres-what-i-learned I’d love to start a record label (never gonna happen). I wonder how much he has had to outlay on this? I’d be interested to know. I know a lad who set up a drone/field music label buit think it was digital only when that format was in its infancy in the mid 00’s Few interesting points - Brexit obvs. and also the spotify angle. I wonder just how bad it is? Anyway - on the strength of it I bought the Fightmilk album
Foxy_Dread I worked with a lad who launched a record label, he had some really good acts. The only three I can remember are Gnac The Montgolfier Brothers Quigley The Bitter Springs. I know, Quigley just popped into my addled mind.
