So the stupid orange cunt has whacked a bunch of ridiculous tariffs on stuff. So the US will have to pay more for everything they import. Which is a lot. So what on your monthly shopping list comes from the US? Not food, because its over processed manufactured shite. Not US wine because it's mostly like pish. Definitely not beer despite what Anchor says. Not clothing, because its all mass market bollox (Levis? I've not bought a pair of levis in nigh on 50 years) that europe and asia and latin america do better and cheaper. Not cars because virtually all US cars are shite, hence their passion for German and Japanese cars and UK luxury cars. Phones? Do they make any in the US? There's certainly plenty of Asian marques. Don't apple make theirs in China? How's that going to work? Computer hardware? The US make some but much is actually built in Asia and Europe. Electro domestic stuff? Asia, Europe and South America again.
Obviously europe and the rest of the world must buy some stuff from them, but I'm struggling to see much in our house that is US built, so nothing I buy should have US tariffs on it.
The turd seems to think they can start banging out Mercs and BMWs overnight. US motor industry is a shadow of its former self so to start up again will take years. And then there's components and supply chain on top of that to be sourced or manufactured starting from scratch.
After years of WTO negotiations various free trade agreements have been finalised. Trump has canned all those at a stroke. Surely this is a thing he cannot recover from? Can we not just have the cunt shot?
