It’s interesting that he’s apparently going to give the farm and hospitality industries a pass. It’s pretty much an admission that those sectors would collapse without cheap immigrant labour.
I can see this pissing off the more hardline republicans.
My memory is fucked these days but I thought his campaign promise was to round up all the gang members and criminals. Whilst working off the books is technically a crime, I don’t think many imagine the guys shaping up for a days work outside Home Depot are what most of his supporters had in mind.
If I was so inclined, I reckon I could go to the nearest Home Depot and film F-150s with Trump bumper stickers picking up day labourers pretty much any morning. Some people just don’t join the dots.
