Placid American Robins are about the size of a blackbird, their chests more orange than red but they behave the same if you’re working in the garden.

Merlin Bird ID app has been great on my morning woods walks. Recognises birds by song. Blackcaps and Goldcrests - who knew?

A Hudsonian Godwit has apparently appeared on the estuary near to where I live on the Essex/Suffolk border.
I came across a load of guys with binoculars and large lenses on camera's this morning. Saw a load of them the other night while I was out on my bike.
This rare bird has travelled from Alaska.
Some of these fellas had travelled from Yorkshire to catch a glimpse.
Also saw a couple of Crows chasing a huge Red Kite about too.

Just seen a right gullfight - 30 or so adults having it with 5 or 6 youth - went for about 10 mins

Couple of these little lads have started visiting regularly. They go mad for one particular lavender plant but don’t seem interested in any of the others.
