I've just had an early look at Sporting Index's points spread.

The betting markets are currently predicting we finish third bottom with 37 points, Wolves are just above us with 42.

I'd like these to the sporting equivalent to the opinion polls. A decent guide but by no means infallible.

Foxy_Dread It’s no real surprise is it? I’ll stick my neck out and guess the two sides they have bellow us are Sunderland and Burnley?
Promoted sides seem to be up against it more than ever. Be interesting to see how their assessments change as the transfer window unfolds and we get closer to the start of the season.

I think I may have hit burnout already. I'm pretty indifferent.

Pretty sure things will change soon enough. I watched every game last season. Not sure I'll do that this year.

Jon oh yes these figures will be built around anticipated improvements in the transfer window. If Wolves don't spend much before the season starts that predicted points gap will close.

Raposa Frank, Norgaard, looks like Mbeumo is off and now, potentially, Wissa. I know they’ve got a good track record of replacing key players but that’s some big boots to fill all in one go.
I wonder if Kelleher was made aware of the likelihood of such changes when he signed for them this summer?

Apparently the approach to MGW was a bit naughty. Agent fed the release clause to Spurs.

Didn't this happen with Olise with palace and Chelsea.

Also it seems we've got Europa at Palaces expense.

Raposa yeah - clearly MGW is up to his conkers in it - pushing for it. Only he'd knpow the release clause.

There is also an issue re the fee - we can simply demand the whole amount upfront and not instalments as is the usual. They buyer have to pay to te demands of the seling club.

I think this will give us leverage to get a decent chunk more.
