Anyone had any dealings with it?
Back to see my Mam who's been diagnosed.
At the moment she's a bit forgetful, rings me at strange times as the time difference confuses her and she has a habit of telling the same story / gossip / weather report over and over during the day, as well as has her own catchphrases and clicks and whistles she always uses. Which is new.
I am now at the stage where I don't say, "we talked about that earlier," and just answer her like it's a fresh question.
My guess is she's got mid-level now, after being diagnosed last year.
Anyone had any experience or tips?
I've got the lasting power of attorney/s sorted for health & finances.
She was fixated on downgrading her house to a smaller apartment where there's also seniors about. We looked at one and she was keen, but the logistics of selling and buying a house, then having to learn new surroundings, just seems too much for her. So plan B is to ride it out, get in help if needed and then the inevitable, move into a home when she can't take care of herself. One move instead of two.
