The EFL looked amateurish and inept (not for the first time) when Bielsa was caught and they didn’t have explicit provisions in place to deal with spying. Consequently, it can’t come as a total surprise that they’d come down hard on a club caught doing the same, especially ahead of such an important game. Richest game in club football apparently.
Knowing that you’d have to be a special type of idiot to risk it. Seems someone at Saints fits that bill.
I have sympathy for the fans but I also remember the clubs who voted for points deductions that could have sent our club to the wall.
As @Misura correctly pointed out, there’s so much information available today it’s hard to see what edge watching a training session could give a club.
The form Saints are in most would, I’m sure, of fancied them to win regardless. Sad for the fans but it’s the big match up now Bill v Joffy.
