Arrived in Kandy. Traffic is horrendous, air pollution is a killer but somehow wildlife thrives. Just walking round the lake we saw bastard crows, bigger bastard crows, catfish, water snake, turtles, cormorants, herons, eagles, monkeys, monitor lizard, buddhist monks and massive ducks. Later were bats and fruitbats.
