I remember queueing for some e chewing rave at Mr Craigs in 90/1ish and seeing a load of wide eyed cosmic hippies after Hawkwind played at the Uni wondering down briggate and thinking, fuck me they look like theyre having a beauty time.
My mate Mason his brother 4 years older than us was a proper cosmic Hawkwind type, he lived in a flat above all our pill head post football mates on Street Lane. We used to go up to his flat after Astoria and listen to Hawkwind, Gong, Steve Hillage etc... Funny how the old shroom crew blended in with the new school trainers, baggy jean brigade united in their love of out of reaity chemical experiences and music. They use to show us the best places to get Mushrooms from in autumn. He used to do the lighting at Hippe raves and chocolate factory, they had one on NY Moors and he shone all the lights onto the Golf Balls at Fylingdales. Not surprising they all got nicked :D
Always found it funny watching the council estate pub brigade from the Highwood and the dog on a stringers wondering round school playing fields together all slowly walking with their heads down harvesting mushrooms.
Anyway, a belting tune. The bassline’s a cracker. Sounds like Motorhead, no idea if its Lemmy or not.
